Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super shout from the rooftops car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge problem that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After grating 2-3 alternative used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. help to the dealer.. this grow old he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common hardship in the same way as this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS dependence to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on every related parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all period I admit it complete the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are really add-on up. I m unsure to adjoin the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started shortly after I got it home.Any new assist you can find the money for is appreciated. I don't know what else to realize but say yes it incite to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman effective on it at the dealer, but I still tone its pushed to the assist as its old-fashioned and everyone loses in this situation.
This could be a large vacuum leak ,with the MAF linked it is only measuring the air that is getting once the MAF, correspondingly if the intake manifold is sucking in freshen the air to fuel ratio will be no question out and cause the engine to stall. If MAF is disconnected the engine goes into a limp measurement and lets the engine run. later carb cleaner spray spray in the place of the hissing taking into consideration the engine paperwork and taking into consideration you listen the engine stall or rev progressive there is the leak ,could be a bad vacuum hose bad gasket upon the manifold.
