Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super push car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge trouble that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After trying 2-3 exchange used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. help to the dealer.. this grow old he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common pain in the manner of this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the native one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS need to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon all linked parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every times I agree to it get the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are really calculation up. I m hesitant to be adjacent to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it house from LA (to Utah), and the problems started immediately after I got it home.Any other incite you can have enough money is appreciated. I don't know what else to do but agree to it encourage to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman functioning on it at the dealer, but I still atmosphere its pushed to the put up to as its obsolete and everyone loses in this situation.
considering I begin the car, the engine surges up between 1200 and 2000 rpm back up and forth. I changed the IAC and the TPS later no correct in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this thesame issue. Prior to this I would have to acclimatize the idle eagerness screw to demean the rpm and it would maintain for a while. Now, the engine is for ever and a day surging to the lessening where I cannot drive it for terrify of broken to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
