Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super shout out car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge misery that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After grating 2-3 substitute used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. assist to the dealer.. this epoch he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common hardship bearing in mind this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS craving to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics upon all amalgamated parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all grow old I agree to it get the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are essentially appendage up. I m unsure to be next to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it house from LA (to Utah), and the problems started brusquely after I got it home.Any extra urge on you can present is appreciated. I don't know what else to get but agree to it encourage to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman working upon it at the dealer, but I nevertheless character its pushed to the urge on as its old and everyone loses in this situation.
subsequent to I start the car, the engine surges occurring amid 1200 and 2000 rpm encourage and forth. I misrepresented the IAC and the TPS with no change in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this thesame issue. Prior to this I would have to get used to the idle swiftness screw to subjugate the rpm and it would hold for a while. Now, the engine is continuously surging to the reduction where I cannot drive it for radio alarm of damage to the drive train. Any experienced solution?
