I have a 2004 ES330 gone a hestitation problem. It is fine from a full end but subsequently I go not far off from turns on onto highway ramps, as soon as I pain the accellarator (sp?) it hesitates for 2 seconds since reving up. I ve taken it to a mechanic and he says it is normal. I have an 2003 Avalon taking into consideration the similar engine and it jumps off the start and has no hesitation. Mechanic s Assistant: Will the headlights turn on? Is the battery adequately charged? With or without headlights on. Relatively other battery. Mechanic s Assistant: What is the model of your 04 Lexus? ES330 Mechanic s Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried thus far? I ve cleaned the MAF sensor. Checked for friends in the intake. considering I put my Turbo OBDII app on, all seems fine except that the TPS stays constant almost 30%. This is a drive-by-wire model appropriately it has not throttle cable or usual TPS. I say yes the TPS is integrated next the throttle controller/motor. Mechanic s Assistant: all else you desire the mechanic to know back I be next to you? No, I guess that is it.
I started the car up this morning, it starts stirring and runs at 1750 and within a minute or appropriately climbs beyond 2500.. It is processing serene though, just artifice well along than it should be. I then checked the throttle screw plate/return screw, intentionally turned it out and nothing changed. put it back to exactly where it was. No vacuum leak sounds and all associates verified. I character good more or less them as I've been in there a bunch of times..
have you looked into throttle body coking and/or combustion chamber/valve carbon buildup? are you happening to date on all maintenance; spark plugs fuel filter pcv vlave etc? have you performed a visual inspection and listened to engine as it warms up and is warmed up? oftentimes in engine action many factors may cause the same symptom(s)
