I have a 2004 ES330 in the same way as a hestitation problem. It is good from a full end but bearing in mind I go re turns on onto highway ramps, subsequently I sadden the accellarator (sp?) it hesitates for 2 seconds before reving up. I ve taken it to a mechanic and he says it is normal. I have an 2003 Avalon taking into consideration the thesame engine and it jumps off the begin and has no hesitation. Mechanic s Assistant: Will the headlights position on? Is the battery fully charged? With or without headlights on. Relatively extra battery. Mechanic s Assistant: What is the model of your 04 Lexus? ES330 Mechanic s Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried appropriately far? I ve cleaned the MAF sensor. Checked for friends in the intake. afterward I put my Turbo OBDII app on, everything seems fine except that the TPS stays constant going on for 30%. This is a drive-by-wire model correspondingly it has not throttle cable or usual TPS. I put up with the TPS is integrated subsequently the throttle controller/motor. Mechanic s Assistant: everything else you desire the mechanic to know past I connect you? No, I guess that is it.
Might after that be worth checking the wiring and connector to the airflow meter for any signs of corrosion or damage. you can get a quick defect find if you unplug the meter and run the engine without it. if the engine condition is the thesame then chances are the meter or the membership to it is faulty. Its afterward worth cleaning the MAF sensor wires, as they can get coated like dirt exceeding era which next offsets the reading. Use some log on cleaner or brake cleaner to vaporizer onto the wires to remove the dirt on no account lie alongside the wires gone whatever as they are enormously fragile
like I start the car, the engine surges going on in the midst of 1200 and 2000 rpm back and forth. I misused the IAC and the TPS later no tweak in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC's have this thesame issue. Prior to this I would have to adjust the idle zeal screw to demean the rpm and it would withhold for a while. Now, the engine is every time surging to the reduction where I cannot steer it for unease of broken to the steer train. Any experienced solution?
