Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super puff car that I am ready to steer off a cliff. had a idle surge problem that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After exasperating 2-3 rotate used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. assist to the dealer.. this grow old he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common misfortune once this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS habit to be re-adjusted? The master tech did all sorts of diagnostics upon all similar parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all time I endure it pull off the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are in reality calculation up. I m unsure to touch the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I did re-check them tho. The master tech did extensive tests upon the let breathe flow meter and said it was good. following I unplug it and run the motor, the car runs uncompromising and at 850ish. I can unaided guess that my additional rebuilt ecu has an issue, or the tps needs to be re-adjusted, or someway my maf has died in the midst of all this. I don't think the tps has that much run in the every other of rpm though? I think it lonely adjusts it in this area 1k..
Hello the TPS does have an effect upon switching the car into idle mode correspondingly I'd suggest to create certain the throttle dish is 100% closed and not slightly stranded behind carbon. and subsequently get used to the TPS appropriately that the IDL stick is continuous to the E2 fix similar to the throttle is closed, and contact circuit later the throttle is just cracked. Don't badly affect more or less any voltages, the IDL log on is the truly important one.
