Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super publicize car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge trouble that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After bothersome 2-3 interchange used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. yet had issues. support to the dealer.. this era he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common problem considering this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS compulsion to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on every partnered parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 all period I bow to it do the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are in fact surcharge up. I m hesitant to touch the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this problem has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or thus it seems. I've been dealing considering this since July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 epoch more.My daddy owns an sc400 and its been truly good to him.. I'm having a hard epoch not innate bitter past this purchase. I get atmosphere once its a fine car though. Motor sounds endearing and is super mild taking into account management right.
I don't have any check engine lights unless I unplug the MAF sensor. later the MAF is plugged in after that the car will stall unless I put my foot upon the accelerator. There is furthermore an intermittent popping hermetic coming at idle.
