Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super make known car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge difficulty that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After infuriating 2-3 alternative used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. nevertheless had issues. support to the dealer.. this era he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common hardship in the manner of this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS obsession to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon every united parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every period I tolerate it realize the dealer for diagnostics.. on going problems are in point of fact totaling up. I m unsure to adjoin the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I'm 1500 too high.. or more. It's boggling to me how this pain has morphed into various idle problems and has everyone perplexed.. or correspondingly it seems. I've been dealing taking into account this back July.. makes me appreciate my 240z 10 epoch more.My dad owns an sc400 and its been really fine to him.. I'm having a hard time not being mordant past this purchase. I accomplish feel considering its a fine car though. Motor sounds sweet and is super serene gone processing right.
I don't have any check engine lights unless I unplug the MAF sensor. once the MAF is plugged in then the car will stall unless I put my foot on the accelerator. There is in addition to an intermittent popping sealed coming at idle.
