Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super shout from the rooftops car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge pain that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) upon tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After bothersome 2-3 alternating used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. back up to the dealer.. this times he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research upon them, and found that its a common hardship when this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the original one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS need to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics upon all partnered parts (tps, maf, iac). 0-200 every get older I take on it reach the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are in reality totaling up. I m undecided to be next to the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it home from LA (to Utah), and the problems started hurriedly after I got it home.Any additional incite you can meet the expense of is appreciated. I don't know what else to complete but agree to it back up to the dealer. I know I've got the shop foreman working on it at the dealer, but I still setting its pushed to the support as its old and everyone loses in this situation.
I don't have any check engine lights unless I unplug the MAF sensor. gone the MAF is plugged in later the car will stall unless I put my foot on the accelerator. There is along with an intermittent popping hermetically sealed coming at idle.
